The Department of Politics

The Department of Politics serves as the diplomatic and governmental interface of the Iran Revival Hub. Its mandate is to engage constructively with legislative and political institutions in democratic countries, with particular focus on the Parliament of Canada and members of the European Parliament, as well as other national parliaments.

his department specializes in political affairs, parliamentary relations, and strategic advocacy. It develops structured communication channels with Members of Parliament (MPs), policymakers, political advisors, and relevant committees. Through policy briefs, formal consultations, roundtables, and institutional dialogue, the department seeks to present credible analysis and forward-looking proposals concerning Iran’s post–Islamic Republic reconstruction and democratic transition.

Core functions include:

  • Monitoring legislative developments and foreign policy debates relevant to Iran

  • Preparing evidence-based policy recommendations

  • Coordinating parliamentary outreach and diplomatic engagement

  • Building long-term relationships with elected officials and political stakeholders

The Team

Davood Akhavannasab (David Akhavan) holds a Master’s degree in Information Technology from Carleton University and is an IT Infrastructure Support professional at Ford Motor Company in Canada, specializing in cybersecurity and enterprise systems management. With extensive experience in designing, implementing, and securing robust technological infrastructures for global organizations, David brings strong analytical, strategic, and problem-solving skills to both his professional career and his public service.

Since 2010, David has been actively engaged in Iranian political activism. A committed Iranian nationalist, right-wing thinker, and staunch monarchist, he advocates for the restoration of a constitutional monarchy under the leadership framework of Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi as the most effective path to national unity, secular governance, democratic institutions, territorial integrity, and long-term prosperity for Iran. His political work has focused on opposing the theocratic regime, promoting human rights, fostering unity among freedom-seeking Iranians, and advancing practical ideas for the post-regime reconstruction of Iran.

Living in Canada, David has participated in advocacy campaigns, community organizing, educational initiatives, and events aimed at raising awareness about Iran’s rich historical heritage and the necessity of a modern, progressive, and sovereign nation. He is deeply aligned with the mission of the Iran Revival Hub, contributing his technical expertise, strategic vision, and unwavering dedication to collaborative efforts that will rebuild a free, democratic, and flourishing Iran; honoring its ancient civilization while embracing the future chosen by its people.

Dr. Hamed Mofarah is an electrical engineer, materials scientist, researcher, and civic advocate dedicated to advancing scientific innovation and contributing to the vision of a free, secular, and democratic Iran. Holding a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and a Master’s degree in Materials Engineering, Hamed has developed a multidisciplinary career bridging advanced materials, nanotechnology, semiconductor devices, and applied physics.

His technical expertise includes the fabrication and characterization of semiconductor devices such as LEDs, photodetectors, and transistors, as well as nanocomposite systems for solar energy, electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding, and functional textiles. With experience as a postdoctoral researcher and lab manager, he has led experimental projects, coordinated research activities, mentored students, and ensured adherence to high engineering and quality standards. His work reflects a strong commitment to precision, reliability, and innovation-driven problem solving.

Beyond his scientific career, Hamed has been actively engaged in political and social initiatives both during his university years and within the Iranian-Canadian community. As a university student, he participated in student activities focused on academic representation, civic awareness, and constructive dialogue on governance, reform, and social responsibility. He contributed to organizing discussions, educational sessions, and student-led initiatives aimed at promoting critical thinking and active citizenship.

In Canada, Hamed continues to advocate for a future Iran founded on laicism, rule of law, human rights, and meritocracy. He believes that sustainable political transformation must be accompanied by institutional reform, scientific advancement, and educational modernization. His perspective integrates technological development with democratic governance, emphasizing that innovation, transparency, and accountability are essential pillars of national reconstruction.

Hamed envisions playing a meaningful role in rebuilding Iran by contributing to the development of research infrastructure, technology-driven industries, and modern policy frameworks that empower future generations. Through his combined commitment to science, social engagement, and political advocacy, he strives to support the emergence of a prosperous Iran defined by freedom, justice, and intellectual progress.
